E-WASTE RECYCLING POLICY

The Information and Communication revolution has embarked on major changes in dealing with our lives, economy and industry practices. These much-needed developments in recent times have had a positive impact on our lives but open doors for manifold problems, such as huge amounts of toxic/harmful waste (including waste from electrical products). The toxic, poisonous waste can be an alarming threat to human health and the environment, too. To keep our environment and human health protected, there should be systematic management of such hazardous E-Waste.

To solve this new rising issue of E-Waste management - the government of India, its Ministry of Environment and Forest, prepared the E-Waste Rules in 2011.

GROWBIG SUPERMARTS LIMITED WILL STAY COMMITTED TO FOLLOWING THE E-WASTE RULES.

The Basel Convention defines waste as:

Substances or objects which are disposed of or are intended to be disposed of or are required to be disposed of by the provisions of national laws.

E-waste has been defined as:

Any waste electrical or electronic part (any part or complete) is rejected from the manufacturing process and has to be discarded.

However, Electrical and electronic equipment can be referred to as:

Parts or Complete equipment rely on electrical currents or electromagnetic fields to function.

Like hazardous waste, the e-waste problem is also getting serious as its unorganized accumulation and recycling can result in worse environmental problems and poor human health.

It's high time for E-Waste Management to reduce landfills and keep the ecological balance consistent. To save the sources and minimize waste, it's really important to recycle the almost finished products.

AS AN ECO-FRIENDLY COMPANY, GROWBIG SUPERMARTS LIMITED HAS ARRANGED DIFFERENT ACTIVITIES TO MAKE EVERYONE FAMILIAR WITH E-WASTE RECYCLING.

It ensures that 100% recycling and disposal occur by the authentic recycler to avoid the negative impact of E-Waste.
